As I daydream about hot, cheesy deep-dish pizza, I can’t help but to salivate over my upcoming trip to Chicago. This visit serves not only as my first time in the Windy City, but also my organization’s first attendance at a HiMSS conference. As Global Knowledge has served the health care space for many years, it’s exciting to finally have our organization represented at such a large health care IT event.
I’m looking forward to attending several sessions to stay abreast of the latest industry changes. The can’t-miss sessions at HiMSS15 are:
- HIMSS15 Opening Reception
The show will kick off with a Speakeasy-themed event offering live jazz music, friendly faces and discussions around the latest health care IT trends. I’ll be sure to stop by the exhibit booths of our friends and partners in attendance Cisco, IBM, (ISC)2 and VMware, just to name a few. - IHE USA Interoperability Breakfast Panel: Cybersecurity and Interoperability — Working Together for Patient Safety
Cybersecurity concerns are not slowing down any time soon, and health care security is predicted to be one of the biggest targets of 2015, thus even I have personal interest in observing a panel of experts as they weigh in on how to protect my information.
Looking to protect your information further, check out our expansive cybersecurity portfolio. - E-sessions
E-sessions are flexibly offered throughout the entirety of the show, therefore I’ll have ample opportunity to pop in on a virtual session. One session I’m particularly looking forward to is, “Evaluating Adult Learning Theory in EHR Training Content.” This will be beneficial to learning about advancements and gaining new knowledge, as our organization continues to evolve and refine our adult-learning principles.
If e-sessions are how you learn best, then you’ll enjoy our instructor-led virtual classes. View the latest class schedule. - HX360
Bridging the gap between innovation and technology is a challenge that many companies, including our organization, is tackling head on. I’m eager to hear more about what HX360 is doing to unite the two forces and re-invent health care delivery. - Microsoft Health Users Group Forum 2015
The forum will consist of best practices on how technology can improve health care, including proven tactics that translate into working solutions. We know a thing or two about that, due to our sheer breadth and depth of Microsoft course offerings. Overall, I’m looking forward to hearing about how these large corporations are leveraging technology to address business challenges.
Global Knowledge is working to better align health care innovation and technology in 2015 with our extensive learning portfolio. We are eager to share with conference attendees what we can do to help them and their organizations accelerate their success today. Personally, I’m also quite thrilled about consuming many slices of delicious Chicago pizza!
Don’t forget to stop by our Booth #7465. See you at HiMSS15!
